Isle of Palms is located on nearly 2880 acres of stunning land. It's nearby the Intracoastal Waterway, Atlantic Ocean, Breach Inlet, and Sullivan's Island.

If you're looking for something to do while in Isle of Palms you'll have to make some decisions. Isle of Palms is home to some great entertainment and activities including - tennis, the marina, wonderful local restaurants, championship golf, and shops.

While the island is inhabited by singles, families, and seniors, it used to be inhabited by the Sewee tribe. In the late 1800s locals started using the island as a vacation retreat though only accessible by ferry. It was given it's current name, Isle of Palm, by J. S. Lawrence in 1899. The first hotel was built in 1906 and in 1929 the Grace Memorial Bridge was built between Charleston and Mount Pleasant so cars could access the island easily.
